Cyfuture, a web hosting company based in India, has announced plans to build a new data center in Chennai. This marks the company’s fifth data center in India and will have an initial capacity of 500 racks. The facility will offer a range of cloud services, such as data storage, cloud computing, and disaster recovery. Cyfuture plans to expand further to Mumbai and Bangalore later this year. The Chennai data center will feature redundant power and cooling systems to ensure maximum uptime, as well as advanced fire suppression and security measures. Chennai is a strategic location for data centers due to its undersea cable connectivity and the presence of large corporate and IT companies.
Other Indian Internet powerhouses currently known to also build new datacenters include Digital Realty, CtrlS, CapitaLand, AdaniConneX, and Equinix.
